If you had a dollar, what would you do with it? There are many things you can do, even if you don’t think it is worth what it used to be. True, it won’t get you as far as it did 20 years ago. What are some of the things you can do with a dollar if you had one burning a hole in your pocket?

5 Things You Can Do With A Dollar

  •  You could go to the bank and turn it into 100 pennies. What would you do with 100 pennies? You could go to the mall and drop it into a wishing well.  You could turn all the pennies heads up and put them in random places where people will find them and have good luck.
  • Whatever you heart desires at the dollar store. You could buy a package of batteries, some old cereal, or maybe some lollipops. The great thing about the dollar store is that while the products might not always be the highest quality, you can sometimes get two of whatever you want for a dollar. Be careful about tax though. It could put you over your limit.
  • Going to Taco Bell with your dollar could buy you lunch. Regardless of what kind of meat filling that Taco Bell uses, you will rest assured that you will be able to buy something there. Most of the tacos are less than a dollar and some of the other menu items are also less than a buck. It might not be the greatest meal you have ever had, but if you are hungry enough, it might just be what you are looking for.
  • You could donate a dollar to a good cause. Maybe you simply donate the it upfront, or buy a raffle ticket with it. Either way, you are helping a good cause. Even a small donation can have a large impact on your community.

So, what can you do for a dollar? There are clearly many ways you can spend that dollar and get the most for your money. Give one to everyone in the family and see what creative ways everyone spends it. It’s a great lesson in financial literacy which is a must have life skill.
